Writing and creating a great online dating profile can be a real challenge. Here are some things that will make your dating profile pop!
1. Pictures attract the person
You have to have current and non-grainy pictures. The biggest turn off when online dating is someone who has bad pictures. To make your dating profile pop use pictures that match your personality. If you travel, have pictures from your trips, if you love to be outdoors, have pictures of you on a hike.
2. Describe yourself as your friends would
Take a minute to think about what your friends love about you. Do you tell great stories? Are you really funny? Write down all of your good qualities so that you can write them in your profile. Be sure to not sound boastful, but confident.
3. Take some time to write down your likes and dislikes
What are some things you like about dating and what are some things you don’t like. This list wont make it directly onto your dating profile, but it will give you a direction into how to write your profile. If you don’t want to date someone who lives very far away, you can tailor your profile to say how you love to date someone who lives locally.
4. Think about what you want in another person
What kind of person are you looking for? Write down the qualities you want in another person so that you can write a profile that attracts that person. If you like someone who is athletic, describe your love of the outdoors or your love of going to the gym with your partner.
5. What sets you apart from the rest?
What qualities do you have that set you apart from other people? Think about your unique traits and gifts. Are you a great cook? Do you dance salsa? Write it in your profile!
6. Shy away from cliche’s
To make your dating profile pop, don’t be too typical. Writing that you like sunsets and long walks on the beach will only make the person reading it yawn. Don’t write a profile that looks like everyone else’s. Saying that you want a “good person” isn’t specific enough, say what you really want and stick with it.
7. Update your profile to keep new parties interested
Every month or so, rewrite your profile, it doesn’t have to be a complete change, but write down something new you may have done, or a new movie you love.
